Molly Whalen is a nonprofit leader, facilitator, and advocate whose work has long centered on inclusion, collaboration, and community impact. With more than 30 years of experience across the nonprofit and disability advocacy sectors, she brings both strategic insight and deep compassion to the organizations and leaders she serves.
Currently serving as State Director for Best Buddies Capital Region: Virginia & DC, Molly works to build partnerships and opportunities that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her leadership background also includes executive roles in advocacy, education, and community engagement organizations throughout the Washington, DC region.
A seasoned presenter and facilitator, Molly has led hundreds of workshops and strategic conversations nationwide. Her work is shaped not only by professional expertise, but also by her lived experience as a parent and advocate. She brings an uncommon ability to connect people, clarify purpose, and create environments where individuals and organizations can thrive together.
